Coronavirus causes postponements of "Plastics Recycling Show Europe", VinylPlus forum, SPE's thermoforming conference and "Plastics in Automotive Engineering"

Due to the developments with the coronavirus in Europe and travel restrictions to Italy, VinylPlus (Brussels / Belgium; www.vinylplus.eu) has postponed its annual “Vinyl Sustainability Forum” in Florence / Italy to 14-15 October 2020. The event was scheduled to run from 6-7 May 2020 – see Plasteurope.com of 27.01.2020. VinylPlus says for those that have already paid the registration free and are not able to attend VSF2020 in October, a full reimbursement will be issued.
Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu) has also postponed its “Plastics Recycling Show Europe” (PRSE; www.prseventeurope.com) in Amsterdam, originally to be held 25-26 March 2020 – see Plasteurope.com of 24.01.2020. PRE made the decision following discussions with exhibitors, speakers, pre-registered visitors and the venue. The new dates for PRSE are 27-28 October 2020.
Initially planned to take place from 18-20 March 2020, the SPE’s (Bethel, Connecticut / USA; www.4spe.org) “European Thermoforming Conference” (www.thermoforming-europe.org) in Geneva / Switzerland has been rescheduled to 30 September 2020, running until 2 October 2020 – see Plasteurope.com of 17.01.2020.
Earlier in March, Switzerland banned events involving more than 1,000 people, and certain events in Germany have also been cancelled or postponed – see Plasteurope.com of 02.03.2020 and 05.03.2020. In the meantime, the “Plastics in Automotive Engineering” (PIAE) event organised by VDI-Wissensforum (Düsseldorf / Germany; www.vdi-wissensforum.de) in Mannheim / Germany has now been rescheduled to 28-29 July 2020.
Petcore Europe’s (Brussels; https://petcore-europe.org) first “PET Monomer Recycling Forum” – see Plasteurope.com of 03.03.2020 – is also postponed. The event was scheduled for 16 April 2020 in Brussels, and the new date is yet to be announced.
