SPE's biennial "European Thermoforming Conference" in Geneva this March

The 12th edition of the “European Thermoforming Conference” will be held from 18 to 20 March 2020 in Geneva / Switzerland. Organised by the Society of Plastics Engineers' (SPE, Bethel, Connecticut / USA; www.4spe.org) “European Thermoforming Division” (www.e-t-d.org), the established conference consists of processors, end-users, material suppliers, tool and machinery manufacturers, among others, with discussions on current topics in thermoforming technology.
On the first day of the conference there will be a workshop on the fundamentals of thermoforming that comprises thin gauge and heavy gauge thermoforming technologies. Industry expert Mark Strachan will be the instructor for the thin gauge session, and Wolfgang Daum (Geiss) will lead the heavy gauge session.
The programme for the second and third days of the event includes speakers from companies in the consumer goods, automotive, aerospace, recycling, machinery, retail and packaging sectors. With respect to EU regulations, waste and recycling are a focus of many talks and there is also a session on China’s circular economy plans.
