CEO Ellen Kullman to retire / Search for replacement underway

After seven years at the top of chemicals producer DuPont (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.dupont.com), chairwoman and CEO Ellen Kullman will retire on 16 October 2015. She will be replaced on an interim basis by board of directors member and Tyco International chairman Edward Breen, while the board searches for a full-time replacement.
Kullman first began her career at DuPont 27 years ago, and in January 2009 became the company’s CEO (see Plasteurope.com of 09.10.2008). She most recently oversaw the spin-off of the group’s Performance Polymers business as Chemours (see Plasteurope.com of 09.07.2015).
