The preparations are afoot: registration documents for “K 2022” (www.k-online.de) are now available. For all companies wishing to participate in the world’s largest trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry – to be held from 19 to 26 October 2022 in Düsseldorf / Germany – the registration deadline is 31 May 2021. The companies that took part in the trade fair as exhibitors in 2019 can log in and register using their previous credentials.
The range of exhibits at the K trade fair includes machinery and equipment, raw materials and auxiliaries, as well as semi-finished products, technical parts and reinforced plastic products. “K in Düsseldorf is not only the industry’s performance barometer, and its global marketplace for innovations, but it also provides orientation, sets sustainable economic impulses and shows forward-looking trends, as well as concrete approaches to solutions,” said Erhard Wienkamp, MD of Messe Düsseldorf (www.messe-duesseldorf.de).
According to the organiser, the leading trade fair in October 2022 comes at the right time, because the effects of the global pandemic continue to affect many companies in the plastics and rubber industry as well as their customer sectors. The need for industry representatives worldwide to exchange ideas in person and reorient themselves will be immense. Additionally, K always shows the current challenges for the industry – topics such as sustainability, resource conservation, circular economy and digitalisation, which were already clearly in focus at K 2019, will also be among the hot topics at exhibitor stands and in the supporting programme in autumn 2022. The special show will run under the title “Plastics shape the future”, and a Science Campus, as a forum for science and research, will also be part of the fair.
Messe Düsseldorf is also continuing to expand internationally. For instance, it was reported recently that its subsidiary, Messe Düsseldorf North America, is set to co-organise “Colombiaplast” (www.colombiaplast.org), which is expected to next be held in June 2021 (see Plasteurope.com of 11.02.2021).
