Quadrant (Tielt / Belgium; www.quadrantplastics.com) has announced that its name will be changed to Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials (MCAM) with effect from 1 April 2019. Quadrant notes that the name change will align it as a business unit within the Mitsubishi Chemical group (Tokyo / Japan; www.m-chemical.co.jp/en).
Mitsubishi took over full ownership of Quadrant's holding company in 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 27.05.2013. The existing portfolio of brands such as "Ketron" PEEK grades, "MediTECH" life-science products as well as "SymaLITE" PP boards will remain unaffected and continue to be distributed under the same specifications and quality, says Quadrant.
