Andreas Schütte to become CEO of packaging company

With effect from 1 March 2019, Andreas Schütte will take over as CEO of rigid packaging producer Paccor (Zell / Germany; www.paccor.com). Former CEO Dieter Bergner announced he would pursue new professional challenges in October 2018, and Zdenek Rybczuk was then appointed interim CEO – see Plasteurope.com of 30.10.2018.
Schütte has held various management positions including as board member of German pharmaceutical packaging manufacturer Gerresheimer (Düsseldorf; www.gerresheimer.com), where he was responsible for the Plastics and Devices as well as Advanced Technologies divisions. In October 2018, Schütte announced that he would leave Gerresheimer.
Paccor generated revenues of around EUR 600m in 2018. The company has a workforce of around 3,000 and 20 production sites across Europe as well as one injection moulding site in Excelsior Springs, Missouri / USA. Private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg (New York, New York / USA; www.lindsaygoldbergllc.com) acquired Coveris' (Vienna / Austria; www.coveris.com) rigid packaging division in summer 2018 – see Plasteurope.com of 02.08.2018 – and renamed the company Paccor – see Plasteurope.com of 05.10.2018. Paccor was one of five companies that formed Coveris in 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 21.11.2013.
