Packaging manufacturer Plast-Box (Słupsk / Poland; www.opakowania.plast-box.com) has acquired 100% of the shares in Stark Partner (Grodzisk Mazowiecki / Poland; www.stark.pl). The purchase price was not disclosed. Plast-Box operates two plants in Poland and Ukraine – see Plasteurope.com of 27.09.2011. It manufactures plastic buckets and containers for the chemical and food sectors, and exports to most EU countries as well as Russia and Ukraine.
Stark's focus is on small plastic packaging for ice cream and dairy products, which are produced by thermoforming and injection moulding. It also manufactures PS films. Most of its revenue is generated in Poland, with the remaining production volume exported to Belgium, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Slovenia and the UK. Under the terms of the agreement, Stark will continue to produce under its own brand.
