Three more acquisitions for Canadian label manufacturer / Companies based in Europe and Asia

Not long after it acquired Treofan's (Raunheim / Germany; www.treofan.com) North American business – see Plasteurope.com of 21.06.2018 – label maker CCL Industries (Toronto, Ontario / Canada; www.cclind.com) has announced three bolt-on acquisitions. The Canadian company said it has reached binding agreements to acquire companies in the Netherlands, Poland and Vietnam.
One of the companies is Olympic Holding (Venray / The Netherlands; www.olympicbonding.com), a manufacturer of PMMA tapes for use in the automotive, electronics and construction industries. The agreed purchase of CAD 13.5m (around EUR 9m) is scheduled to close in early January 2019.
CCL is also expecting to buy the Polish manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels and sleeve labels Unilogo (Piaseczno; www.unilogo-drukarnia.pl) for CAD 10.7m. Forecasted 2018 sales are CAD 7.4m with an adjusted EBITDA of CAD 2.5m. The transaction is expected to close in late December 2018.
The third takeover target is Hinsitsu Screen Vietnam (Hanoi / Vietnam; www.hinsitsuvietnam.com), a producer of tamper-evident labels and graphic overlays for the electronics industry. Hinsitsu has a second manufacturing plant in Ho Chi Minh City / Vietnam. The company generated sales of CAD 11.2m with an adjusted EBITDA of CAD 2m in the 12 months to 30 June 2018. The agreed purchase consideration is CAD 12.4m, with the acquisition expected to close in early January 2019.
