Matthias Kaufmann, executive management board member of the RKW Group (Frankenthal / Germany; www.rkw-group.com), has decided not to renew his contract. This is due to differing views on the strategic direction of the company. On 31 August 2017, he will leave RKW on mutually amicable terms with the supervisory board and the executive management board.
Since 1998, Kaufmann has held several positions in the group, including responsibility for the Consumer Packaging business as vice president starting in 2010, heading the Packaging division in 2013 as well as central functions in Sales, Marketing & Communications and Sustainability and R&D. Between 2009 and 2013, he was responsible for setting up the production site for RKW Egypt, which laid the foundation for expansion in the Middle East. The factory near Cairo produces plastic films for hygiene applications (see Plasteurope.com of 11.11.2011). He also drove the expansion of the company's site in Vietnam (see Plasteurope.com of 18.07.2016).
