Acquisition of Turkey's Farmamak wrapped up
German rigid films producer Klöckner Pentaplast (kp, Montabaur; www.kpfilms.com) has completed its takeover of Farmamak (Gebze / Turkey; www.farmamak.com.tr), a leading rigid film solutions provider in Turkey (for previous coverage, see Plasteurope.com of 13.09.2016). The latter, home to about 230 employees and operating a production site in Gebze / Turkey, has become a new kp subsidiary.
Farmamak will give kp “immediate scale in the high growth Turkish and Middle East markets,” said kp CEO Wayne Hewett, adding that, “With our strong global footprint, we expect to make further investments in high growth markets.”
Klöckner Pentaplast ist currently raising shrink labels capacity at its plant in Gendorf / Germany to meet rising customer demand (see Plasteurope.com of 22.03.2016).
