“Plastics Recycling Show” goes to Amsterdam in March 2017 / New venue for inaugural European event cancelled twice due to terror attacks
Hoping that third time’s the charm, the organisers of the ill-fated “Plastics Recycling Show” (PRSE, www.prseventeurope.com) have announced that the inaugural event is now scheduled to take place in Amsterdam / The Netherlands on 29 and 30 March 2017. Originally due to take place in Brussels in November last year, the terror attacks in Paris / France had forced a postponement. However, the day the show was then due to start, 22 March this year, was the day terror struck in Brussels / Belgium, once again forcing a last-minute cancellation (see Plasteurope.com of 22.03.2016).
Organisers Crain Communications (UK) (www.crain.com) and Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE, Brussels; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu) said they had received strong support from event exhibitors, partners and prospective visitors, which prompted them to set a new date for the inaugural exhibition and conference dedicated to plastics recycling professionals. “This fair, which is the first fair in Europe dedicated to plastics recycling, demonstrates the strength and importance of plastics recycling for both the European economy and the development of the circular economy,” said PRE president Ton Emans.
In their research with exhibitors and prospective visitors, Amsterdam emerged as the preferred venue for the show, and the city’s RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre (www.rai.nl/en) also offers the potential to expand the event, meeting growing exhibitor demand.
