Machinery sales and service to be strengthened in Europe, South America, Africa and Middle East
Japanese-German plastics machinery manufacturer Sumitomo (SHI) Demag (Schwaig / Germany; www.sumitomo-shi-demag.eu) plans to further strengthen and expand its presence in Europe, South America, northern and southern Africa and the near and Middle East. Along with this development, the company will improve the quality of sales consultancy and speed up problem solving in service, it said.
The company’s market presence has already been strengthened by the establishment of subsidiaries in Hungary (see Plasteurope.com of 21.10.2015), Austria and the considerably recovered Spanish market, where an office recently has been opened in Valencia, and additional representations in Israel, Saudi Arabia and Iran. The new Spanish subsidiary is headed by Sebastian Schaper, former managing director Spain for Netstal.
In the Nordic countries, the company has established partnerships with Normann & Kock (Humlebæk / Denmark), a representative for many years and now additionally providing a presence in Norway. Swedish customers will benefit through a cooperation with K.D. Feddersen (Hamburg / Germany; www.kdfeddersen.com), which acquired Forvema (Kinna / Sweden; www.forvema.se), a specialist in injection moulding machinery sales, in April – see Plasteurope.com of 18.04.2016.
