In a deal confirmed on 8 April but whose financial details were not disclosed, the Swedish subsidiary of German distributor K.D. Feddersen (Hamburg; www.kdfeddersen.com) has acquired Forvema (Kinna / Sweden; www.forvema.se), a specialist in injection moulding machinery sales. The purchase will expand K.D. Feddersen Norden's (Värnamo / Sweden) portfolio of injection moulding machines and auxiliaries, said the Swedish branch’s general manager Torbjörn Egerhag, adding that “our ambition is to be the full service partner for engineered plastics and plastics processing machineries for our customers in the Nordic and Baltic regions.”
Forvema is the exclusive partner of machinery producers Sumitomo (SHI) Demag (Schwaig / Germany; www.sumitomo-shi-demag.eu) and Klöckner Desma (Fridingen / Germany; www.desma.biz).
