Turkish compounder expands its “Eplamid” range of glass-filled PPA compounds
Turkish compounds producer Epsan Plastic (Bursa; www.epsan.com.tr) has introduced two new PPA grades for high-temperature parts. The glass-filled, high-flow compounds – “Eplamid HT00” and “Eplamid HT02” – are characterised by a high temperature and chemical resistance and perform well in moist conditions, the company said. They are designed specifically to replace metal parts in humid environments, and thus suitable for under-the-hood automotive applications, as well as sanitary and household products.

Epsan operates two plants in Turkey and sells its portfolio across more than 35 countries. The company last year raised its compounding capacity to meet rising demand in Germany – see Plasteurope.com of 15.10.2014.
