Capacity expansion for PA compounds in Turkey / Focus on Germany
Growing global demand has prompted Turkish producer Epsan Plastic (Bursa; www.epsan.com.tr) to raise capacity of its PA compound line “Coperion” ZSK 58 MC18 from 22,000 t/y to 32,000 t/y. Epsan said it has already invested in five other compounding lines from Coperion (Stuttgart / Germany; www.coperion.com).

Epsan’s global sales director, Arda Efe, said: “The capacity increase will help Epsan to support its fast growing business in Germany as well as strengthen our position in existing ones”. Efe added that the company distributes its PA 6 and PA 6.6 compounds in Europe and North America under the brand names of “Eplamid” and “Eplon”. Last month, Epsan introduced two glass-filled grades of “Eplamid” – see Plasteurope.com of 05.09.2014.

The producer operates two plants in Turkey and sells to more than 35 countries.
