Insolvency court confirms liquidation / Spanish PET producer in the midst of being dissolved
The insolvency court overseeing the proceedings regarding Spanish PET producer La Seda (Barcelona; www.laseda.es) on 30 January 2014 approved the application for liquidation the company’s management had filed – see Plasteurope.com of 08.01.2014. Insolvency administrator José Vicente Estrada Esteban of consultancy Forest Partners announced the decision means that the existing board of directors has been dissolved, and that all administrative rights now lie with him. The company is to be liquidated, with all creditors due to receive at least part of what they are owed from the funds. Esteban added that all assets are to be divested into cash as soon as possible.
