Turkish PA compounder opens German subsidiary
Turkish high performance polyamide compounds producer Epsan Plastic (Bursa; www.epsan.com.tr) kicked off 2014 by opening a new office in Dortmund / Germany. The subsidiary, which launched operations 1 January, provides customer training, sales and technical support as well as product demonstrations and hosting client events.

Commenting on the launch of Epsan Deutschland, the group’s global sales manager, Arda Efe, said, "the new office shows our commitment to grow our business in the automotive industry and Germany through direct communication, technical support and sales." The new subsidiary is managed by Adrian Kaminski, who has been tasked with overseeing all sales operations, business and market development in Germany. Kaminski joins Epsan from Invista, where he previously oversaw European business and market development.

The Bursa-based compounder raised its nameplate capacity by 7,000 t/y in 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 03.01.2013 – and now produces about 23,000 t/y of PA 6 and PA 6.6 compounds. Founded in 1976, Epsan plans to continue seeking further growth opportunities and new solutions in the automotive industry, Kaminski said.
