Two Polish subsidiaries merged / New company named Indorama Ventures Poland
Thai PET and fibres producer Indorama Ventures (IVL, Bangkok; www.indoramaventures.com) is merging its two subsidiaries in Poland into a single entity known as Indorama Ventures Poland. IVL Poland will merge with Indorama Polymers Poland, effective January 2012, IVL said.
Indorama Polymers, which operated as SK Eurochem until it was acquired by IVL last year, operates a 140,000 t/y PET plant in Wloclawek / Poland. IVL is expanding the plant by 220,000 t/y to 360,000 t/y in 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 17.06.2011.
In addition, on 6 January 2012 Indorama acquired FiberVisions Holdings (Duluth, Georgia / USA; www.fibervisions.com) for an undisclosed amount. FiberVisions Holdings is a leading producer of PP-based monofibres, with capacity to turn out 117,000 t/y in the US, 90,000 t/y in Europe and 14,000 t/y in Suzhou / China.
