Intex division files for insolvency / Former IBS Brocke faces closure with 1,000 employees
ISE Intex (Morsbach / Germany), the plastics division of automotive parts supplier Innomotive Systems Europe (ISE, Bergneustadt / Germany; www.innomotive.com), filed for insolvency on 21 November 2006 in Bonn / Germany. Attorney Christopher Seagon from law office Wellensiek (Heidelberg / Germany; www.wellensiek.de) has been appointed provisional insolvency administrator of ISE Intex (Morsbach / Germany), formerly IBS Brocke. Seagon has already administered the insolvencies of Coronet and Engelmann, and was recently involved with automotive supplier Peguform.
According to reports, an employee meeting was called for 22 November, but no results have yet emerged. Neither Seagon nor a spokesman from ISE could be contacted for a statement.
IBS Brocke was taken over while in insolvency by ISE – see Plasteurope.com Web of 28.10.2004. At that time, an increase in working hours of 1.5 hours a week was negotiated, in return for which ISE guaranteed the jobs of the 1,200 workers up to 2011. In the meantime, the mould production plant in Schwelm / Germany with a workforce of 127 has been closed. The two German plants at Morsbach-Lichtenberg and Waldbröl presently remain in operation.
