CEO-designate Jakob Sigurdsson joins high-performance polymers producer

On 4 September 2017, Jakob Sigurdsson started as designated CEO of Victrex (Thornton Cleveleys / UK; www.victrex.com). He replaces Dave Hummel on 1 October 2017, who will retire in 2018 (see Plasteurope.com of 03.05.2017).
Hummel has headed the company that specialises in high-performance PEEK polymers for 24 years. He will remain on the board as an executive director until February 2018.
Sigurdsson has more than 20 years of experience in multinational companies, including Rohm & Haas (now part of Dow Chemical) in the US, as CEO of food processor Alfesca in Europe and as CEO of packaging producer Promens.
