New Polyram adhesive resins added to distribution portfolio / “Bondyram” grades for PS and PET multilayer coextrusion
Building on their existing relationship, Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) has added Polyram Plastic Industries’ (Nazareth / Israel; www.polyram-group.com) new “Bondyram TL4401” and “Bondyram TL4530” adhesive resins to its portfolio. Introduced this year, the two grades allow copolyester (PET or PETG) or polystyrene to adhere to materials such as EVOH, PA and PE, the German distributor said.
TL4401 was developed specifically for PS hot fill applications, and has a Vicat Softening Temperature of more than 85 °C. It offers good adhesion for coextruded films, Velox said, including as a sandwich layer in a structure made up of PE, EVOH and PS.
Velox first began selling Polyram’s Bondyram series in 2003. At the end of July, the Israeli group entered into a Europe-wide distribution agreement with Resinex (Arendonk / Belgium; www.resinex.com) for its "Ramclean" purging agents – see Plasteurope.com of 28.07.2016.
