Polyram purging agents added to European range
Distributor Resinex (Arendonk / Belgium; www.resinex.com) has added “Ramclean” purging agents developed by Polyram Plastic Industries (Ram-On, Nazareth / Israel; www.polyram-group.com) to its Europe-wide portfolio.
“Ramclean” granules are suitable for almost any type of thermoplastic from polyolefins to high-performance polymers, the company said. Applications include injection moulding, compounding, extrusion and multi-layer blown film extrusion. The material facilitates speedy property and colour changes, helps the removal of machine-related specks and contributes to reduced colour/material streaking for more stable production processes.
An example application is the complete purging process in five-layer blown film production that previously required the use of 100 kg LDPE and took around 60 minutes. When “Ramclean” 600 was used, these figures were reduced to 4 kg and 30 minutes.
