Tosaf (Afula / Israel; www.tosaf.com) has announced the acquisition of additives producer Vision Color (West Unity, Ohio / USA). Founded by Rick Bacon, the US company produces additive and colour concentrates, compounds and powder blends for plastics processing. Details of the transaction have not been disclosed. However, there are reports of a price of USD 8m for Vision Color and its 40 employees.
Along with Adtec Colorant (Arlington, Texas / USA – see Plasteurope.com of 21.08.2015), which Tosaf took over in 2015, and its own masterbatch production in Bessemer City, North Carolina, the Israel-based company now covers southwestern US and the heart of the US auto industry around Detroit as well as Mexico.
Tosaf is a joint venture between Megides Holding and Ravago (Arendonk / Belgium; www.ravago.com). The company has 1,200 employees in nine production facilities for compounds and masterbatches, as well as other branches across the globe. With a production capacity of more than 120,000 t/y, the company’s annual turnover is around EUR 350m.
