Acquisition of Texas-based Adtec Colorant / Further step in US market entry strategy

Israeli compound, additive and masterbatch manufacturer Tosaf (Afula; www.tosaf.com) has acquired Adtec Colorant (Arlington, Texas / USA; www.adteccolorant.com) a manufacturer of speciality colour concentrates, liquid and additive masterbatches for the injection moulding, blow moulding, film and extrusion markets.
Amos Megides, Tosaf chairman and CEO, said: “This transaction represents another step in the fulfilment of our US market entry strategy following our earlier announcement of the construction of a new additives, white and colour masterbatch plant in Bessemer City, North Carolina.”
In December 2014, Tosaf announced that it plans to invest more than USD 13m over the next three years at Bessemer City, in its first manufacturing facility in the US – see Plasteurope.com of 18.12.2014.
