Toho Tenax (Europe: Wuppertal / Germany; www.tohotenax-eu.com) has introduced “Tenax”-E HTS45 E23 12K 800tex high tenacity carbon fibre worldwide.
The company said the material offers improved fibre-matrix adhesion, leading to balanced mechanical properties in various resin systems and has advantages when used in structural parts under fatigue load. It has already been used successfully in industrial applications and is now additionally available for aerospace applications.
The company presents its new filament yarn for the first time at the JEC 2011 composites show in Paris (www.jeccomposites.com) which ends today – see Plasteurope.com of 11.03.2011.
