Engineering plastics producer Ticona (Frankfurt / Germany; www.ticona.com) has announced that three newly acquired products, “Thermx”, “Zenite” and “Factor”, will be available from its distribution partners from 1 January 2011.

Ticona acquired the Factor long fibre-reinforced thermoplastics (LFT) brand from Future Advanced Composites & Technology (FACT, Kaiserslautern / Germany) in early 2010 – see Plasteurope.com of 05.11.2009. Later in the year, the company acquired the Thermx polycyclohexylene-dimethylene terephthalate (PCT) and Zenite liquid crystal polymer (LCP) brands from DuPont (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.dupont.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 11.05.2010.

The products will be available via all of Ticona’s authorised distribution partners in Europe, including: K.D. Feddersen (covering Germany, France, Scandinavia, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria); UNASA (covering Spain); Omya (covering Switzerland and Turkey); Resinex (covering eastern Europe, Austria, Benelux and the UK); and Vamp Technologies and Eurotec Technopolimeri (both covering Italy).
