STYROLUTION
Styrenics producer announces management board changes / Rob Buntinx appointed president of Europe, Middle East and Asia
Business at styrenics producer Styrolution (Frankfurt / Germany; www.styrolution.com) certainly cannot be described as boring right now. Since Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) took full control of its former joint venture with BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) in November last year (see Plasteurope.com of 19.11.2014), the Frankfurt-based company has not only received a new CEO (see Plasteurope.com of 02.12.2014), the HQ of its PS and ABS business has also been moved to Rolle / Switzerland (see Plasteurope.com of 27.01.2015).

In its latest announcement, Styrolution has communicated three appointments to its management board, including two new regional presidents as well as the entirely new position of president of Operations. Rob Buntinx, currently senior vice president of Global Focus Industries and R&D, will take over as president of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business on 1 March. Buntinx replaces Kevin McQuade, who became group CEO on 1 January this year. In his new post, he will still remain responsible for Global Focus Industries and R&D.
In addition, on 1 April this year, Steve Harrington, who currently serves as president of the company’s Global Styrene Monomer business, will take on the additional role of president Asia Pacific. He places Hyung Tae, who will retire in July this year. Styrolution also set up an entirely new management board post. On 1 March, the position of president of Operations will be filled by Pierre Minguet, who currently serves as senior vice president of EMEA Manufacturing.
