Kevin McQuade to take over as CEO on 1 January / Roberto Gualdoni steps down for personal reasons

Not only is styrenics producer Styrolution (Frankfurt / Germany; www.styrolution.com) now a 100% subsidiary of Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) – for details, see Plasteurope.com of 19.11.2014 – the company will also receive a new man at its helm come 1 January 2015. After having led the group since its foundation in 2011 (see Plasteurope.com of 05.10.2011), current CEO Roberto Gualdoni on 1 December announced that he will leave the company for personal reasons.
He will be replaced by Kevin McQuade, who currently serves as president of Styrolution’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business. McQuade’s career has included stints at Mobil Chemical, BASF and Ineos, where he also served as CEO of Styrenics.
When announcing the change of management, McQuade said, “It's my personal ambition to make the shifts towards higher-growth industries, towards a portfolio focused on styrenic specialties and ABS standard, as well as towards a stronger footprint in emerging markets a reality.”
