Solvay (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvay.com) has announced the departure of Pascal Juéry and Cécile Tandeau de Marsac from its executive committee, effective 5 April 2019. These changes come not long after Ilham Kadri succeeded Jean-Pierre Clamadieu as CEO on 1 March 2019 – see Plasteurope.com of 11.10.2018.

De Marsac has led Solvay's human resources for the last seven years and has decided to leave the company to focus on personal projects. Juéry has decided to leave the group due to personal reasons. He will continue to manage the planned polyamide transaction between Solvay and BASF – see Plasteurope.com of 18.01.2019 – and report to Kadri until September 2019, when he will leave the group. Juéry is also president of French chemical industry association France Chimie (Puteaux; www.francechimie.fr).
Solvay's executive committee has been reduced from eight to five positions within one year. The committee now consists of Kadri, CFO Karim Hajjar, Vincent De Cuyper, Augusto Di Donfrancesco and Hua Du.
