After eight months of construction (see Plasteurope.com of 07.09.2015), Schoeller Allibert (Zwolle / The Netherlands; www.schoellerallibert.com) in May this year opened its new injection moulding plant in Poland. Located in Zabrze, in the Katowice Special Economic Zone, the 6,350 m2 plant is capable of producing the company’s entire portfolio, including “EuroClick” – a new crate developed specifically for the automotive industry.
“The establishment of this exciting new facility here in Poland is a major building block in our roadmap for a world-class manufacturing footprint for the Schoeller Allibert Group,” company CEO Ian Robinson said during the plant’s inauguration ceremony. The Zabrze facility will cater not only to customers in Poland, but also Europe as a whole. Earlier this year, the Dutch company announced a EUR 6m investment for its operations in Russia (see Plasteurope.com of 23.03.2016).
