Specialist packaging manufacturer Petainer (Peterborough / UK; www.petainer.com) is further strengthening its presence in the UK and Ireland. The one-way keg producer in late August announced that it had entered into a strategic alliance with Sovereign Beverage Company (Blackburn / UK; www.sovereignbeverage.com), which produces a range of specialised filling and handling systems for Petainer’s kegs, to further develop the British and Irish market.

Sovereign chief executive David Davies welcomed the agreement, saying he was especially excited about new formats due to be launched later this year.

Founded in the Czech Republic, Petainer moved its headquarters to Peterborough in 2011 – see Plasteurope.com of 04.10.2011.
