Saris to become Perlos CEO as Virtanen steps down

Cor Saris has been nominated as the new president and CEO of Perlos (Vantaa / Finland; www.perlos.com) following the resignation of Matti Virtanen from the position due to family reasons. The resignation is due to take effect on 26 May 2008. Lite-On Technology (Taipei / Taiwan; www.liteon.com), which now holds 95.84% of Perlos’ shares – see Plasteurope.com of 14.08.2007 – will suggest to the company’s general meeting that Virtanen be elected to the supervisory board. He will also continue as a senior advisor to Lite-On on the integration of Perlos and Lite-On, strategy, operations and customer relations.
Saris, who is a Perlos supervisory board member, will take up the new position on 27 May. He has long experience in executive positions at Philips in consumer electronics, IT and automotive electronics industries. He presently works as a vice president at Lite-On new business development.
