Expanded partnership with Francesco Franceschetti / Italian producer constructing cleanroom for 2014
As a sales partner for Francesco Franceschetti Elastomeri (Corte Franca / Italy; www.f-franceschetti.it) German-based Nordmann, Rassmann (NRC, Hamburg; www.nrc.de) is now distributing the northern Italian's latest medical compounds in Germany, Switzerland and northern Europe. With the "Marfran.Med" brand, product requirements have all been met for use in medical applications and has been certified according to USP Class VI and European pharmacopoeia (EP) standards as well as DIN ISO 10993-11, 10, 5 and 4. The company’s production facilities comply with ISO 13485 specifications. The company added that the material can also be sterilised by end customers using a variety of options such as gamma sterilisation processes at 25 kGy or 50 kGy, ethylene oxide sterilisation or steam sterilisation at 121°C. The material is available in shore hardness of 0-80 A and 30-70 D and is transparent or translucent.
The company also announced that an ISO 7 compliant cleanroom is in the planning and construction is scheduled for completion by mid-2014. Since the end of 2012, NRC has been the sales partner in Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia for the TPE product portfolio under the "Marfran" brand from the Italian producers – see Plasteurope.com of 13.12.2012. The German company generated a turnover of approximately EUR 300m in 2012 and currently employs a total of 280 individuals. The major sectors it serves include cosmetics, homecare, pharmaceutical, food, construction, coating, adhesive, plastic, rubber and polyurethane industries.
