Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials (MCAM), part of the Mitsubishi Chemical group (Tokyo / Japan; www.m-chemical.co.jp/en), has modified the product names formerly branded as “Quadrant”. The move follows Mitsubishi’s acquisition of Quadrant’s holding company in 2013 and a subsequent change in company name to MCAM in April 2019 (see Plasteurope.com of 01.03.2019).
With effect from 1 April 2020, its range of polyphenylsulfone and polysulfone polymers will be branded as “Sultron”, the two polycarbonate grades together with a polymethylpentene and polyphenylene oxide product as “Altron”, thermoplastics as “Flextron” and polyamide 6.6 as “Nylatron”. MCAM added that there has been no change to formulations and product quality under the new brand names.
