LUBRIZOL
Velox now distributing Merquinsa legacy TPUs across select European markets
Building on their existing collaboration, which dates back 12 years, US speciality chemicals producer Lubrizol (Wickliffe, Ohio; www.lubrizol.com) in mid-June appointed Germany’s Velox (Hamburg; www.velox.com) as distributor of its Merquinsa (Montmeló / Spain; www.merquinsa.com) legacy thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs). The latter, acquired in late 2011 – see Plasteurope.com of 03.01.2012 – now operates as Lubrizol Advanced Materials (FKA Merquinsa).

Under the agreement, Velox will market the “Pearlthane”, “Pearlcoat”, “Pearlbond” and “Pearlstick” range of TPUs in France, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, the Benelux states as well as other central and eastern European markets. Velox already distributes Lubrizol’s “Estane” TPU, “Estaloc” RETPU and “Isoplast” ETP.
