INEOS / DOEFLEX
PVC compounding businesses successfully merged under new Ineos Compounds
As previously announced, Ineos (Rolle / Switzerland; www.ineos.com) and Doeflex Compounding (Swindon / UK; www.doeflex.co.uk) on 1 September implemented the combination of their PVC compounding businesses into Ineos Compounds. The merger follows the unconditional clearance granted by the European Commission in early August (see Plasteurope.com of 06.08.2014).
The combined business will have a turnover of more than EUR 200m and manufacturing sites in the UK, Sweden and Switzerland. A look at Plasteurope.com’s Polyglobe capacity database (www.polyglobe.net) shows that it will have nameplate capacities for 235,000 t/y of PVC compounds.
