Conzzeta's (Zurich / Switzerland; www.conzzeta.ch) board of directors has appointed Michael Riedel as the new CEO of its subsidiary FoamPartner (Wolfhausen / Switzerland; www.foampartner.com) from 1 January 2018. Riedel is currently group head of human resources at Clariant (Muttenz / Switzerland; www.clariant.com), where he has held several positions since 2009. His earlier career included managerial roles at Höchst, Celanese, and SGL Carbon.
Riedel takes over the position from Bart J. ten Brink, who is also chairman of the European association of flexible polyurethane foam blocks manufacturers Europur (Brussels / Belgium; www.europur.com), and will leave the company after eight years as CEO to pursue a new challenge.
Conzzeta CEO Michael Willome says Riedel is well suited for the next stages in FoamPartner's development. "In terms of business scale, we are venturing into new territory with the integration of Otto Bock Kunststoff." Willome adds that the company wants to take advantage of growth opportunities, such as those that have emerged from the reorganisation of joint ventures in Asia and North America – see Plasteurope.com of 04.09.2017.
