Biesterfeld appointed distributor in Poland
DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (Europe: Le Grand-Sacconex / Switzerland; www.dupont.com) has appointed Biesterfeld Polska, the Polish subsidiary of Biesterfeld Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-plastic.com), as distributor for its “Surlyn” and other speciality polymers for cosmetic packaging and related applications in Poland.
According to Marek Parol, general manager of Biesterfeld Polska, the Polish market for packaging polymers is developing particularly quickly. Carsten Harms, general manager of Biesterfeld Plastic Europe said that the agreement will provide service and product benefits in one of the fastest-growing CEE regions while “generating greater reach for the DuPont business in this important emerging market.”
The companies have a long-standing relationship in the European cosmetic industry and other industry sectors that began in France in 1997 and has expanded over the last decade. The Polish agreement follows the appointment in 2005 of Biesterfeld to distribute Dupont Packaging & Industrial Polymers’ products in Germany and Turkey – see Plasteurope.com of 25.08.2005.
