DSM Engineering Plastics (Sittard / The Netherlands; www.dsmep.com) has strengthened its existing partnership with Chase Plastic Services (Clarkston, Michigan / USA; www.chaseplastics.com) for the Mexican market. The US company is to develop and sell DSM’s engineering plastics portfolio, including “Akulon” PA 6, “Arnitel” copolyester, “Arnite” PBT and PET, “Stanyl” PA 4.6 and 4T as well as the bio-based “EcoPaXX” PA 410 and “Arnitel” eco copolyester in the country.

DSM's portfolio is already being marketed in the country by the Mexican subsidiary of US distributor Channel Prime Alliance (CPA, Des Moines, Iowa; www.channelpa.com) – for details, see Plasteurope.com of 31.07.2014.

The Dutch group recently announced plans for a new “Akulon” PA 6 plant in the US, due to go on stream in 2016 – for details, see Plasteurope.com of 24.07.2014. The facility, details of which still have to be announced, will be the group’s first high viscosity PA 6 manufacturing site in the US.
