CONSTANTIA FLEXIBLES
Opening of a new subsidiary in Dubai
To better serve the growth markets for food packaging in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Russia, Austria's Constantia Flexibles (Vienna; www.cflex.com) has recently opened a new subsidiary, Constantia Flexibles JLT, in Dubai / United Arab Emirates. The new location of the flexible packaging specialists is run by Friedrich Humer.
"The presence in Dubai represents a milestone for the implementation of our strategy of continued profitable growth," noted Thomas Unger, the company's CEO. The company has taken up operations with immediate effect at its new Gulf site, which it describes as the "hub for the development of the growth markets".
Adding to its ambitions in Asia, Constantia announced earlier this year that it had purchased the majority share of Gujarati-based Parikh Packaging (Sanand / India; www.parikh-group.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 09.04.2013.
