Austrian flexible packaging producer Constantia Flexibles (Vienna; www.cflex.com) has announced that its acquisition of Parikh Packaging (Ahmedabad / India; www.parikhpackaging.com) has now been finalised – see Plasteurope.com from 09.04.2013. The acquisition serves as a key component to the Austrian company's international growth strategy as well as its expansion in Asia. Parikh Packaging has sales of EUR 22m and emyploys 500 individuals. With 60% of the shares the flexible packaging producer is the majority owner with the Parikh family keeping the remaining shares in its company

Constantia has more than 8,000 employees in more than 20 countries working in more than 50 group companies. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
