Richard Eno new CEO and member of the board / Buyback of Mitsui equity stake in Sarnia
Effective 18 September 2017, BioAmber (Montréal, Québec / Canada; www.bio-amber.com) has appointed Richard Eno as CEO and new member of the board. Jean-Francois Huc resigned as president and CEO and was succeeded as president by Fabrice Orecchioni in early 2017 – see Plasteurope.com of 02.03.2017.
Eno has more than 30 years of management experience in the energy, chemicals, biotechnology and materials industries. In 2008, he took up leadership of biopolymers specialist Metabolix. His most recent position was as a senior partner at management consultancy Roland Berger, focused on the chemicals industry.
In August, the BioAmber announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to purchase Mitsui's (Tokyo / Japan; www.mitsuichem.com) entire minority equity stake in BioAmber Sarnia, the companies' Sarnia, Ontario / Canada-based bio-succinic acid joint venture – see Plasteurope.com of 07.09.2016.
