Huc steps down as president and CEO / COO Orecchioni steps into president's role
Jean-Francois Huc has resigned as president and CEO of renewable chemistry company BioAmber (Montréal, Québec / Canada; www.bio-amber.com). He will be succeeded as president by Fabrice Orecchioni, the company’s COO, effective immediately.

In his role as COO over the past four years, Orecchioni has overseen the construction, start-up and operation of the company’s manufacturing plant in Sarnia and the management of the company’s joint venture with Mitusui (Tokyo / Japan; www.mitsuichem.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 28.10.2015. He has also been extensively involved in negotiations with CJ CheilJedang (Seoul / South Korea; www.cj.net) for a proposed jv in China (see Plasteurope.com of 02.01.2017).

Huc, who stepped down for personal reasons, will remain a member of the board of directors and will also assume an advisory role with the management team to help ensure a smooth transition.
