Group to be called Berry Global / Salmon assumes CEO position

The US packaging specialist Berry Plastics (Evansville, Indiana; www.berryplastics.com) will change its name to Berry Global as of 13 April 2017. Along with the name change, the company has also adopted a new logo. Berry Plastics, which generated revenues of USD 6.5 bn (EUR 6.1 bn) and encompasses 130 plants, acquired the film producer AEP Industries (Montvale, New Jersey / USA; www.aepinc.com) last summer – see Plasteurope.com of 26.08.2016.
Thomas Salmon was appointed CEO after his appointment as president and COO in October – see Plasteurope.com of 19.10.2016. His predecessor, Jonathan Rich, remains executive chairman of the board.
