Thomas Salmon appointed president and COO / CEO Jonathan Rich to retire in February
Thomas Salmon has been elected president and chief operating officer at US packaging group Berry Plastics (Evansville, Indiana; www.berryplastics.com). He assumed the positions on 3 October, as part of what the company called the next step in its “Ongoing succession process.” Salmon previously served as president of the company’s Consumer Packaging business – a role he will continue to hold until a successor is appointed.
Berry Plastics also announced that company chairman and CEO Jonathan Rich plans to retire in February 2017, but will remain executive chairman of the board.
