Speciality chemicals distributor Azelis (Antwerp / Belgium; www.azelis.com) has announced a number of strategic appointments in the wake of its acquisition of Koda Distribution Group (see Plasteurope.com of 19.01.2016), and as preparation for its “next phase of growth and expansion.” On 1 August 2016, Anna Bertona, who currently works as chief strategy and principal officer, will take over as chief operating officer EMEA, with a specific focus on principal development activities.
Also, on 1 August 2016, COO Laurent Nataf will become CEO and president of the group’s Asia Pacific business. A month later, in September, Thijs Bakker will join the distributor as CFO. Bakker currently works at AkzoNobel.
Strengthening Azelis’ board of directors is the appointment of Michael James Roney, who previously worked as CEO at Bunzl. As board member, Roney will help set the future strategic direction, the company said.
