Some 40 European representatives joined the business delegation organised by the German plastics converters association Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie (GKV, Frankfurt; www.gkv.de) and KI Group (Bad Homburg / Germany; www.kiweb.de) to the recent "Chinaplas" (www.chinaplasonline.com – see Plasteurope.com of 30.04.2014) industry fair, making the trip – the first of its kind – a resounding success. On the occasion, GKV was able to further cement its ties with the China Synthetic Resin Supply and Sale Association (CSRA, Beijing / China), building on the cooperation agreement they had inked at last year’s “K” – see Plasteurope.com of 29.10.2013.
Within the framework of the fair, the two associations held the second “Sino-German Business Forum”, which included eight presentations by leading Chinese and German industry experts on both economic and technical developments. On a more intimate level, the heads of both associations – Bernd Kruse and Oliver Möllenstädt of GKV and Jun Gui Zhao and Zheng Kai of the CSRA – discussed the plastics processing industry of their respective countries as well as ways in which the investments and products of medium-sized companies can be protected.
