In conjunction with the recent "Sino-German Business Forum", held at “K 2013”, Li Shou-Sheng, president of the China Synthetic Resin Supply and Sale Association (CSRA, Beijing / China), and Bernd Kruse, president of the German plastics converters association, the Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie (GKV, Bad Homburg; www.gkv.de), shook hands on a new Sino-German collaboration. During an official signing ceremony, held in front of several companies from both countries, the two men sealed their associations’ future cooperation. The agreement covers technology, trade, patent protection, investments and the environment. In addition, GKV members are to receive support in dealing with the bureaucracy, politics and economy of China.

In an effort to further strengthen the associations’ relationship, the presidents also undertook to offer lectures and seminars on technical issues, including training for executives from both countries. GKV and CSRA agreed to reciprocate in providing assistance to companies seeking to invest in China or Germany.
The two associations are planning to organise additional events at the next “Chinaplas”, held in April 2014.
