ARLA PLAST
New PC sheet line started up in Czech Republic / Expanding group headquarters in Sweden
Taking stock of its activities in 2011, Swedish thermoplastic sheet supplier Arla Plast (Borensberg; www.arlaplast.se) recently informed customers that it bought a new production line for its “Multiclear” polycarbonate sheets at its plant in Kadan / Czech Republic. Arla Plast said the new line was the third at the site, following a 2008 investment in a multiwall extrusion line – see Plasteurope.com of 25.01.2008. In addition, the Swedish group said it also increased its investments in complimenting dies at the site to both raise and support efficiency. A plant expansion is due to be completed in spring 2012.

Also this year, Arla Plast bought more land at its headquarters in Borensberg and expanded its warehouse. To accommodate its growing ambitions, the Swedish group this year began building its new office extension at Arla Plast headquarters, where it installed an additional extrusion line in 2008 (see Plasteurope.com of 08.09.2008).
