Under the theme ‘pushing the limits’, the event will underline advancements in light-weighting, performance, and sustainable solutions across a variety of sectors including aeronautics, energy, transportation and mobility, and sporting goods.
Innovation takes centre stage
This year’s programme features 600 new products aimed at advancing sustainability through circular design and material innovation. The event will address challenges such as reducing emissions in transportation, deploying hydrogen ecosystems, and improving energy efficiency in industries like wind power and space exploration.
The focus on sustainability extends to highlighting technologies aligned with the nine principles for a circular economy – refuse, rethink, reduce, re-use, repair, refurbish, remanufacture, repurpose, recycle.
Visitors can look forward to JEC World’s renowned start-up booster competition, which will present 20 finalists in materials science and engineering, judged by industry leaders from Mercedes-Benz and ExxonMobil, among others.
Additionally, additive manufacturing and digital transformation will feature prominently, with live demonstrations of large-scale 3D printing and advanced manufacturing processes such as automated fibre placement. Digital tools and AI will also be in focus, underscoring the growing importance of digitalisation in composite production.

A global platform for composites
Major corporations like Hexcel, Mitsubishi, Syensqo, and Teijin Carbon are to participate alongside 99 new exhibitors including Biesterfeld, Reichenbacher, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. An online sneak preview – the JEC World Premiere – took place on 13 January 2025. The event revealed the highlights of the upcoming show, introduced the start-up booster finalists, and announced the winners of the JEC composites innovation awards.
